Meet the Team

Holding an MSc in Mathematical Modelling and Scientific Computing, Eoin brings a strong background in computational and applied mathematics. Previously of ESB modelling team, Eoin now heads up Erova’s Analytics team, leading of the development of our internal trading and back office tools. In addition, In additional , Eoin provides additional trader support to enable our 24/7 shift operations.

Formally Portfolio Manager at Axpo Group. With a degree in Electrical Engineering from Dublin University, Evan brings a wide range of skills to Erova including coding in Python, SQL and PHP, complex analytics and a full understanding of the physical attributes of our generation portfolio. Outside of work Evan holds a keen interest in Sustainable Transport.

Prompt trader at ESB, managing their thermal fleet, renewables and GB-SEM interconnectors. Prior to this Fergal worked in risk management and as a financial engineer with Pioneer Investments.

With over 15 years’ experience in the Renewable Energy Industry, Kim previously working as the commercial lead for an Irish based renewable energy developer’s entry into the Philippines covering the commercial negotiation of binding contracts and foreign ownership structuring.

During her nearly ten years with the development company Kim worked on the project financing of wind farms in Ireland managing relationships with banks and inputting into the commercial side of financing documents in liaison with legal teams.

Kim also worked for 5 years in a leading Irish electricity supply company in a regulation and trading role and holds a degree in experimental physics and a master’s degree in natural radiation.

For over 15 years, Matthew has provided energy and risk systems consulting to investment banks, utilities and merchant commodity trading houses across Europe. Within Erova, Matthew is responsible for the development of our internal systems and focus’ on the full automation of many of Erova’s trading and settlement processes.

Proprietary trader and analyst at ESB with focus on GB Power, GBSEM interconnectors and renewables. Previously with SSE and Gaelectric developing onshore wind projects in GB and Ireland.

Prior to joining Erova worked in development phase across several renewable technologies including wind, solar, biomass CHP, large and small-scale storage. Engaged in all aspects through securing land, planning, grid, asset acquisition, national and international policy regulatory frameworks.

Previously senior originator and capital investment Principal at Centrica with over 11 years energy experience. Working across Origination, asset acquisitions, developments and financing. Key areas of focus are optimisation and trading of conventional and renewable generation across Europe.

Oleg carries a background in software and customer solutions. He brings both problem solving skills along with customer service and aims to develop new products and services within the Origination team.

Pavlos has over 14 years experience in energy trading, structuring and analytics. His roles have covered upstream, midstream and downstream-backed trading portfolios (gas, power) and he has held senior leadership roles in Centrica, Petronas and lately as part of Vattenfall AB.

Within Erova Pavlos’ key focus is the expansion of our trading, structuring and business development activities across the UK, Europe and Asia.

Formally a trader at ESB, Ryan joined Erova in 2019 with a focus on proprietary trading and analytics development across European Commodity Markets. Ryan holds a Masters in Quantitative Finance and Trading and achieved his CFA Charter in 2021.

Formerly lead GB power and gas trader at ESB. Prior to this, spent 4 years at Centrica, split between the European power and NBP gas trading desks. Satvinder has also worked with Citigroup’s foreign exchange and fixed income department in New York.

Following completion of her Masters in Economics at the University College Dublin, Xie joined Erova’s analytics team. With a strong academic background and a key focus on energy market analysis, Xie works to build out Erova’s desk trading tools and analytics. Fluent in STATA, Python and other key programming languages. Alongside Xie’s day-to-day role, she provides ad-hoc project work to the wider commercial team.

Holding a B.A. in Business Management, Danny has 20 years of experience in the energy supply business, specifically in the UK and Ireland, working for Scottish Power, Energia, and Electric Ireland.

At Energia, Danny was a Large Energy User Relationship Manager, overseeing fixed and flexible power and gas contracts for Ireland’s largest consumers. Later joined Electric Ireland as a gas specialist, focusing on building a gas supply business.

More recently, Danny was the Large Energy User Manager at Electric Ireland, responsible for managing Ireland’s largest power and gas accounts. His responsibilities spanned power, gas, PPAs, renewables, and energy services, while also managing a team of Large Energy User Relationship Managers within business markets.

Danny’s experience positions him well to navigate the complexities of the energy supply industry.
